At The Campground at Bethel Woods, your safety is our number one priority!

 

By entering The Campground at Bethel Woods, you agree and adhere to the following:

 

  • Guests must have a valid concert or festival ticket and camping pass to enter the campground and be present at the time of check-in.
    • All guests 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult 21+.
  • Check-in time is generally 2 PM on the day of the event and check-out time is generally 10 AM the day after the event. Please refer to the timing on your specific event date for the most accurate information.
  • Quiet hours are from 2 AM to 8 AM
  • Underage use or possession of alcohol will not be tolerated; No large parties, kegs, or binge drinking devices, and all alcohol must be consumed at your campsite (no open containers in common areas are permitted).
  • All guests will take part in a security screening upon arrival as well as entry or exit into the concert venue. Security patrols of the campground and CCTV monitoring occur 24/7.
    • Please be aware that Bethel Woods is not responsible for any lost or stolen items.
  • All dates, acts, times, and ticket prices are subject to change at any time without notice. Tickets obtained from sources other than the official sites of Bethel Woods, Live Nation or Ticketmaster (our only authorized ticketing services) may be lost, stolen or counterfeit and will not be honored. We cannot refund tickets purchased from brokers or secondary sellers. All sales are final.
  • In case of COVID-19 related illness, all occupants must remain in the camping unit until further instruction. 

Prohibited Items:

  • No firearms or weapons of any kind - on your person, in your vehicle, or in your campsite
  • Drones (UAV's) are strictly prohibited from being used anywhere on Bethel Woods property including but not limited to The Campground, parking lots and amphitheater
  • No illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
  • No gases (including but not limited to: Nitrous oxide and/or CO2 cartridges)
  • No fireworks
  • No camp/open fires
  • No animals - service animals allowed
  • No glass containers of any kind
  • No large parties or gatherings 
  • No exterior speaker systems (sound systems are limited to USB-powered/personal portable speakers)
  • No amplified sound systems allowed
  • No kegs or binge drinking devices
  • No medical or recreational marijuana on private property
  • Unauthorized vending of food or merchandise, including alcohol, is prohibited under N.Y. State Law
  • Underage use or possession of alcohol is prohibited
  • Selling any artist merchandise is prohibited
  • Selling venue/Bethel Woods merchandise is prohibited
  • Obey all posted "No Trespassing" signs

Bethel Woods Center for the Arts is committed to providing a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for all guests, both in the concert venue, parking lots, and on our grounds for all events and visits. We are committed to exceeding our guests' expectiations, upholding a positive environment that is diverse, inclusive, safe, productive, and welcoming. 

Bethel Woods guests are responsible for their own conduct, as well as the conduct of their guests or persons utilizing their campsite. Venue staff strive to maintain an atmosphere where all guests can enjoy the event and visit our property. Guests in violation of the Code of Conduct may be subject to ejection without a refund, arrest, and/or loss of ticket and/or entry privileges for future events.

To help us fulfill our commitment, we ask you to join us in making your experience the best possible. Our staff trained to intervene when necessary to use their best discretion to ensure guests who ignore the Code of Conduct don't interfere with others' enjoyment of the event and/or visit. 

  • Be respectful of all guests, staff, entertainers, and property.
  • Refrain using foul/offensive/discriminatory language, fighting, obscene gestures, throwing objects, possessing prohibited or illegal items, and engaging in other behavior detrimental to the experience of other patrons or artists.
  • You must show staff your campsite ticket if they request it at any time during the event.
  • Consume alcoholic beverages in a responsible manner.
  • Comply with requests from staff regarding the venue's operational and emergency procedures.
  • Guests are encouraged to report any violations of the Guest Code of Conduct to the nearest Bethel Woods staff member or Security guard.

Violation of any campground rules or policies will lead to evicition, fines, or possible incarveration under applicable state criminal laws, and/or Sullivan County ordinances prohibiting disturbing the peace or creating a public nuisance.

Plan Your Visit

How can I purchase my camping ticket?

Ticket pricing and availability is subject to change due to the popularity of the show. Please follow the steps below:

  • Scroll down on the camping page until you find all of our shows
  • Click on "More Info" for the concert you will be attending
  • On the event page, slightly scroll down and click on "Purchase Camping"
  • On the camping purchase page, it will list all the available camping levels for the event

Does the camping price include concert ticket(s)?

No, the camping price is just for the camping ticket. Guests must have a valid concert or festival ticket and camping pass to enter the campground and be present at the time of check-in. 

Are lawn/camping chairs permitted in the campgrounds?

Lawn/camping chairs are permitted in the campgrounds; however, lawn chairs are NOT permitted to be brought into the venue. For safety and convenience, Bethel Woods offers lawn chairs appropriate for the slope of the lawn. These chairs are available for rental at the Box Office or for purchase on our website in advance, or directly at the Lawn Chair Tent located at the top of the lawn in Festival Plaza (ask any staff member to guide you). There are a limited number of lawn chair rentals

What items are permitted in the campgrounds?

  • Grills: the maximum amount of propane per campsite should not exceed 5 pounds and individual propane cylinders should not exceed one pound capacity
  • Sunscreen lotion and mosquito repellent pump
  • Small, silenced, portable generators; must be under 60 dB. Permitted daylight hours only and with other campers' consent
  • Coolers
  • Food is permitted in the campgrounds, however; into the pavilion venue you may bring one (1)-gallon clear zip lock bag per person of food

What items are prohibited in the campgrounds?

  • Illegal drugs or drug paraphernalia
  • Firearms
  • Weapons of any kind, hatchets, knives, axes, bows and arrows, etc.
  • Fireworks, camp, or open fires
  • Unauthorized vending of food, merchandise, or alcohol
  • Pets, other than service animals
  • Drones that can be flown over Bethel Woods property
  • Glass containers of any kind

In case of inclement weather, will the campgrounds close?

No; however, guests will be asked to stay in their vehicles until the storm has passed. During the shelter in place, guests may tune in to 107.7 FM or our social media for updates on the day of the event. Camping will continue during rain or shine. 

When do I have to check-in and check-out of the campgrounds?

Check-in time is generally 3 PM on the day of the event and check-out time is generally 10 AM the day after the event. Please refer to the timing on your specific event date for the most accurate information.

How many vehicles are allowed per campsite?

One (1) vehicle (car, motorcycle, van, and RV) is permitted per campsite. 

Do I need to park in the general or premium parking if I am camping?

No, if you purchase a car camping or RV ticket you will be parked within your campsite. If you have a premier tent-only or glamping ticket, you will have specific parking in the general area of the sites. 

Can I stay in the same camping spot for back-to-back shows?

Yes, however, please inform our staff at the time of check-in. Guests who stay for back-to-back shows will need to check-in for the new show date and must have a valid concert or festival ticket and camping pass. 

How many tents can I set up in my car camping or premium parking if I am camping?

Each site is limited to one car; however, you may have more than one tent in your space. Additional guest passes can be purchased for groups larger than (4). Please be aware there is a maximum of (6) people per car camping and RV site. 

Are pets allowed in the campgrounds?

No pets are allowed except for Service Animals on the campsite.

Are there activities in or near the campgrounds?

The award-winning Museum at Bethel Woods is less than half a mile from either camping location and offers backstage tours, guided docent tours, and self-tours. Seasonal programming within the Campground will be announced.

How many people fit within a campsite?

Glamping bell tents accommodate 2 people; Premier Glamping sites range from 2-6 people, while all other sites include up to 4 guests, with additional guest passes available for purchase. All camping guests must have a valid concert or festival ticket.

What are the sizes of each RV campsite?

Premier RV sites are approximately 30’ X 65’ with room for one RV or vehicle. Primitive RV sites (no hookups) are approximately 30’ X 45’ with room for one RV or vehicle.

What should I bring with me?

  • Clothing for all temperatures - the nights can be chilly in the mountains, even in summer
  • A debit or credit card (we are a cashless facility)
  • Sunscreen
  • You can bring your own food to the campground, though we do have some great food options within the two campsites
  • Flashlight
  • Charging cables for phones and other devices
  • A tent and sleeping bags if you are not booked in a glamping or pre-set site

Can I camp a few days prior to the show date?

No, our pavilion camping only allows for one (1) night of camping. Check-in time is generally 3 PM on the day of the event and check-out is generally 10 AM the day after the event. Please refer to the timing of your specific event date for the most accurate information.

Best Road Camping

In the Best Road Camping selection there are two categories: RV (Premier and Primitive) and Car Camping.

Premier RV includes:

  • A generous 30' X 65' gravel pad
  • 50-amp electric hookup, water, and access to one sewer pump out by appointment only
  • Passes for up to 4 people, with the ability to purchase additional guest passes
  • Access to nearby restrooms and free shower facilities
  • Free shuttle service into the amphitheater is provided, subject to availability

Primitive RV Includes:

  • Parking on a grass location of 30' X 45' for one vehicle or RV
  • Pump-out services are available for a fee by appointment only
  • Passes for up to 4 people with the ability to purchase additional guest passes
  • Access to nearby restrooms and free shower facilities
  • Free shuttle service into the amphitheater is provided, subject to availability

What is included in Bring Your Own Tent?

  • A 20' X 20' grass site for up to 4 people to set your own tent
  • Nearby portable toilets, hand washing stations, and free showers
  • Additional guest passes can be purchased for groups larger than 4

What is included in Basic Glamping?

  • A pre-set furnished bell tent with bedding for 2 people
  • An electrical power strip for charging devices
  • Access to nearby restrooms and free shower facilitie
  • Please bring your own towels.

What is included in Luxury Glamping?

  • A bathroom with shower
  • Wifi
  • electricity
  • portable heater
  • outdoor deck seating
  • and other deluxe amenities.
  • Complimentary access to the Museum at Bethel Woods

What is included in Pavilion Camping?

Pavilion camping is located within the concert venue and a short five-minute walk to the amphitheater or the Museum at Bethel Woods. Depending on the site you choose, you will be in either a safari-style glamping tent, a 2-person bell tent, or your own tent.

How do i dispose of trash?

To ensure the cleanliness of our venue, we ask that you discard all trash in the provided trash cans before you depart from your camping site.

How do I get to the amphitheater from my campsite?

The amphitheater is a short walk from both Pavilion Camping and Best Road Camping. For guests who purchased Best Road Camping, a free shuttle service will be provided, subject to availability.

Is there Wi-Fi access in the campgrounds?

Wi-Fi or cellular service (AT&T and Verizon) will be available in all areas of the campground.

Is smoking allowed?

Yes, however, there is NO smoking inside of our glamping tents. 

Is alcohol allowed?

Yes, alcohol is allowed for our 21 and over guests within the confines of the campground at your individual campsite. No open containers or alcohol consumption is allowed in public areas (i.e. pathways to the venue or on the roads).

Are there lights at the campsites?

Portable light towers will be deployed along high-traffic routes along the campsite.

What kind of restrooms and showers are available?

  • Temporary accessible restrooms, port-o-lets, and portable showers will be in each camping area.
  • Glamping tents have private bathrooms and showers.
  • Premier RVs will have access to electric and water hookups. 
  • Premier RVs and Primitive RVs will have the option to request an appointment for dump service for black and gray water holding tanks for a fee.

What are the quiet hours?

Quiet hours are from 12:00 AM – 7:00 AM; please be mindful of your noise level during this time. 

May I leave the campgrounds for shopping and come back?

Guests are allowed to leave the campgrounds; however, all cars are subject to a search at the check-in area. Typically, traffic becomes heavy as show-time approaches and you could find yourself delayed in your return.

Can my friend(s)/family member(s) leave their car in the general parking lot and camp with me at the end of the night?

No, guests who wish to camp must be present at the time of check-in and have a valid concert or festival ticket and camping pass. Patrons who leave their cars in our Healy Brothers parking lots overnight will be towed at the owner's expense. 

What is the proximity to the neighboring campsites?

The proximity to neighboring campsites will vary by campsite type, location and number of campsites sold. All campsites are generally 30’x30’.

How will early entry work for VIP ticket holders with glamping parking?

There is no early entry for camping. Certain Bethel Woods membership levels received early entry into the concert venue at the concert entry gates. Any members who are camping will have access to the early entry line into the concert venue (not the campground).

Is there a store for basic items?

Not yet! There are nearby gas stations and convenience stores where basic items can be purchased. We recommend bringing your basic items with you.

Where can I find ice?

A limited quantity of ice will be available for purchase at check-in; however, we recommend bringing your own.

Can I build a campfire?

No, sorry.

Are there fire pits?

Yes, communal fire pit(s) are currently being constructed.

Are there grills?

No, but campers are permitted to bring a small propane grill.

Can I purchase essential items on-site?

The Museum Store Booth, located at Festival Plaza within the Pavilion, will sell essential items during concerts and at a booth located near The Campground check-in after concerts and the morning after concerts. These items include:

When should I board my shuttle?

  • Green Room Ticketholders: Advised to board the bus 15-minutes before Green Room Gates.

  • Members: Advised to board the bus 15-minutes before Member Gates.

  • General Admission Ticketholders: Advised to board the bus 30-minutes before General Gates.

Is there RV Pumping Services?

Premier RV guests receive complimentary pumping service between 8:30 AM and 10:00 AM the following day. The pump truck will be on-site during this time – please let them know if you would like to take advantage of this service. This service is also available for purchase for Primitive RV guests at $50.00 per pump charge.
