Event Details
This high energy two-week program invites young musicians to dive into the rich history of rock music, exploring its rhythms, legendary artists, and the cultural movements that defined the 1960s.
Participants will develop essential musical skills, including instrument technique, rhythm, improvisation, stage presence, and collaborative performance. Under the mentorship of experienced musicians and instructors, students will refine their abilities in guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, and vocals while also gaining a deeper understanding of songwriting, music theory, and band dynamics.
Students are informally assessed at the beginning of the program and placed in beginner, intermediate, or advanced sections to ensure they receive personalized instruction at the right level. Throughout the camp, they will grow in confidence, creativity, and musicianship, working both individually and in groups.
The experience culminates in a final concert where campers showcase their progress through a mix of classic rock covers and original compositions—an unforgettable moment of rock ‘n’ roll magic!
P.L.A.Y. (Peace. Love. Arts. You.) is a fun-filled summer arts program for kids ages 5-14, set on the legendary grounds of the 1969 Woodstock festival! Led by professional teaching artists, kids will dive into music, painting, sculpture, digital design, and more, sparking creativity and community in an unforgettable setting.
