Event Details
Project: Identity Media Studio is a free workshop series designed for young people (ages 14-18) who are interested in the art and impact of digital media. Join us at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts this fall to explore the many new ways to present yourself, your art, your interests and/or the issues that you care about in the digital age. Talented Bethel Woods Teaching Artists will work with teen participants in our state-of-the-art Mac computer lab, using programs like Adobe Animate and Stop Motion Studio to create digital animations that explore themes of creativity, advocacy, and self-expression.
Program participants will learn about the youth counterculture movements of the ‘60s and the legacy of the Woodstock Music and Art Fair and will compare and contrast that to modern youth activism and creativity in the digital age.
Talented Bethel Woods Teaching Artists, David Love and Marika Robak will work with teen participants to produce original animations. Each week, students will work collaboratively to produce digital outputs using animation, video and audio recording software.
