The Adult Winter Wellness series is an ideal opportunity for the community to come together for soul-nourishing connections at the dawn of the new year. Embracing themes of new beginnings, self-care, and overall health and wellness, the classes offer a diverse range of experiences. From expressive arts activities that ignite a creative flow to gentle mind-body practices like yoga and sound healing that warm both the body and spirit. Facilitated by a rotation of guest artists and wellness practitioners from the local area, these classes offer a holistic approach to well-being.
Based in dance improvisation and yoga forms, this workshop will encourage participants to release mental stress and physical tension with a synthesis of uncomplicated techniques from both disciplines.
This 90-minute movement play-date includes influences from Erin's many years of training with Butoh Dance masters. You can expect imagination exercises using art, music, nature, and our implicit memories for support. All bodies, all experiences, and all humans are welcome. Let's play!
Participants are encouraged to bring an image, poem, music, piece of literature, or small object.
