Participants in these programs should have an interest in learning technical skills for each week's focus and are expected to engage fully in program activities.

The Animation Lab will introduce the fundamentals of basic 2D and 3D animation, giving participants hands on experience in our computer lab, with programs like Stop Motion studio and Adobe Animate.

Students will work independently and collaboratively to create short animations, which can be shared with family and friends, at the conclusion of the program.

About the Series

Our Peace. Love. Arts. You. Programs invite children ages 5- 15 to explore the creative arts this summer at beautiful Bethel Woods, historic festival site of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair.

NEW THIS YEAR, P.L.A.Y. All Day Lab is designed to mimic the intense focus of our P.L.A.Y. Special programs in one-week long sessions as a bridge for our pre-teen participants. Taking place in our newly expanded Media Lab, students dip into history, legacy, leadership, and imaginative ways of thinking through fun, collaborative activities tha build technical skills in the digital arts. Our team of Teaching Artists will intriduce various art forms while weaving together Bethel Woods themes of community, caring, and creativity.
