Event Details
Using computer programs like Minecraft, Scratch, and Stencyl, participants aged 10-12 will play and build collaboratively with peers and talented Teaching Artists from Game Design disciplines. This process based, hands-on program will take place both in Bethel Woods’ Mac Lab, and outside on our beautiful historic grounds.
About the Series
Our Peace. Love. Arts. You. Programs invite children ages 5- 15 to explore the creative arts this summer at beautiful Bethel Woods, historic festival site of the 1969 Woodstock Music and Art Fair.
NEW THIS YEAR, P.L.A.Y. All Day Lab is designed to mimic the intense focus of our P.L.A.Y. Special programs in one-week long sessions as a bridge for our pre-teen participants. Taking place in our newly expanded Media Lab, students dip into history, legacy, leadership, and imaginative ways of thinking through fun, collaborative activities tha build technical skills in the digital arts. Our team of Teaching Artists will intriduce various art forms while weaving together Bethel Woods themes of community, caring, and creativity.
